01About This Special Issue
Compacts Objects are an important group of astronomic objects in astrophysics research. Different mathematical formulations that allow to solve Einstein´s field equations have been used to describe the behavior of objects submitted to strong gravitational fields known as neutron stars, quasars and white dwarfs. The physics of ultrahigh densities is not well understood and many of the compact objects studies have been performed within the framework of the MIT bag model. In this model, the equation of state has a simple linear form given by P=1/3(ρ-4B) where is the energy density, p is the isotropic pressure and B is the bag constant. However, in theoretical works of realistic stellar models it has been suggested that superdense matter may be anisotropic, at least in some density ranges. The existence of anisotropy within a star can be explained by the presence of a solid core, phase transitions, a type III super fluid, a pion condensation and other physical phenomena. In such systems, the radial pressure is different from the tangential pressure. This generalization has been used in the study of the balance and collapse of compact spheres.Aims and Scope:
1. Search of exact solutions of Einstein's field equations for compact objects
2. Study of the physical properties of the neutrons stars , white dwarfs and quasars
3. Models of compact objects with different gravitational potentials
4. Models of compact stars with different equations of state
5. Models of compact stars with charge distributions

Modeling Anisotropic Charged Neutron Star in Isotropic Coordinates
Issue: Volume 3, Issue 1-1, February 2015Pages: 13-20Received: 17 November 2014Accepted: 19 November 2014Published: 19 December 2014Abstract: We present a spherically symmetric solution of the general relativistic field equations in isotropic coordinates for charged fluid with pressure anisotropy, compatible with a super dense star modeling. Further, we have constructed an anisotropic model of super dense star with all degree of suitability. We also observed that by increasing anisotropy... Show More -
New Analytical Solutions for Quark Stars with Charged Anisotropic Matter
Issue: Volume 3, Issue 1-1, February 2015Pages: 6-12Received: 10 November 2014Accepted: 12 November 2014Published: 17 November 2014Abstract: In this paper, we found new exact solutions to the Einstein- Maxwell system of equations within the framework of MIT Bag Model considering a particular form for the measure of anisotropy and a gravitational potential which depends on an adjustable parameter α. The first class of solutions has a singularity in the center. The second class of solutio... Show More -
Anisotropic Fluid Star Model in Isotropic Coordinates
Issue: Volume 3, Issue 1-1, February 2015Pages: 1-5Received: 29 September 2014Accepted: 5 October 2014Published: 15 October 2014Abstract: We present a spherically symmetric solution of the general relativistic field equations in isotropic coordinates for anisotropic neutral fluid, compatible with a super dense star modeling by considering a specific choice of anisotropy factor that includes a positive constant “” defined as anisotropy parameter, which varies the relation between t...
