About This Special Issue
The COVID-19 pandemic cast a shadow on the educational scene in most countries of the world and negatively affected many educational aspects in many countries, especially countries with limited capabilities. The term educational poverty emerged clearly on the table of stakeholders in various countries of the world, and countries are clearly looking to adapt their educational policies to reduce the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the performance of their educational systems.
The introduction of this special topic will achieve the following objectives:
- (1)Reviewing the definition of this term and considering the extent to which it meets different educational contexts.
- (2)To identify the best possible practices to reduce educational poverty levels.
- (3) Evaluating the impact of some contextual variables on the level of educational poverty.
- (4) Building comparisons between different educational systems within the framework of this term.
